Verizon - Answering the call (2018) :30 (USA)

This is Verizon's first Super Bowl appearance in seven years, the advert aired in quarter three.

This ad tells the stories of people rescued by first responders. Justin Timberlake narrated it, and it came after a year when weather and climate disasters caused over $306 billion in damages.

The ad was called "Answering the Call" and used still images to showcase moments of incredible rescues. It urged people to remember the first responders who keep us safe daily. The message was that in an emergency situation, you don't just want a phone service that works; you need the best available.

One of the calls in the ad was from Cedricka, who called a firefighter to thank him for saving her from a fire in her apartment building when she was pregnant. Now her daughter is four years old. Heartwarming!

The ad also had a link to Verizon's AllOurThanks.com, where viewers could donate money to the Red Cross, and Verizon would match the donation. McCann New York helped Verizon with the creative for this ad.
