Knorr - Flavour of Home / Carmen's mom - (2015) (UK)

Hungry Man - of all productions companies - were involved in the creation of Knorr's first short film. Shot by Oscar nominated director Nanette Burstein the short film, “Flavour of Home”, tells the story of a mother’s journey across the Arctic to surprise her daughter, Carmen, with a homemade meal. Knorr knows what we all know, that the taste of mom's home cooking is the greatest flavour on earth, and they proved it with research. 75% of people asked agree that just one mouthful of their mum’s home cooking is enough to bring happy memories from childhood.

Jon Affleck, Knorr’s Global Brand Director says: “We believe life should be full of flavour, and what better flavour to celebrate than the taste of home. We were keen to capture a true and authentic story that brings to life how flavour is so much more than just taste; it’s about emotion.”

As the for the film, ah, it's a slam dunk on emotional heart strings and if you're so inclined this needs a kleenex warning. Bonus points for pretty Finnish arctic scenery, which looks like home to me.
